Good morning to all of you, MG Classics members.
it has been a few months since you have read my Prez Sez narrative; I humbly apologize.
I'll start by reminding you that on Saturday April 25 our monthly Club meeting will be at Ford’s garage at 10:30 AM. if you have not signed up on the website, and you wish to come, please register so that we can let the restaurant know approximately how many people they will be serving.
On May 9, the Austin Healy Club has invited all of the British car clubs to join them for lunch at the wobbly whale between the hours of 12 and 3 pm. Any of you intending to join us in a caravan, or plan on going, please text or call Fred Woller (904) 608-6774 so that he may let the Healy club know approximately how many from our MG Classics will be joining them so they can inform the restaurant.
A few weeks ago the Wings&Wheels car show was held at the Saint Augustine regional Airport. Congratulations to Craig Greenhill for winning an award for the best interior.
On April 11 the Old British Car Show was held in Sanford Florida. MG Classics was represented by Mike, Hogan, and Fred Woller who both took home third place awards in their respective categories.
The annual GOF-South was held in Titusville Florida hosted by the Orlando MG Club. It was a phenomenal success. with a dozen members from our own Jacksonville, Club attending this Annual year event. Bruce Sedelmeyer's 1951 MG TD won first place in the MG TD category. Congratulations Bruce. The tweed drive to the PIG & Whistle restaurant was attended by 45 MG‘s in a caravan, and ending close to 100 members arriving for dinner at the restaurant.
Our Jacksonville club is going to be hosting next year’s GOF. We are in the process of scouting out three or four different locations which will remain nameless at this time. Once a facility is identified we will call on a multitude of members to help execute the reuired work progam.
As of now, the May meeting location is tentative, and you will all be notified when it is confirmed and where it is.
I hope to hear from and see a large multitude of people at Ford’s garage this coming Saturday at 10:30 again for the monthly meeting.
Your president- FRED - RED MGA
