Volunteers Required | MG Classics of Jacksonville
The Club Urgently Requires Volunteers to Fill Two Open Positions
Membership Chair
To manage the communications about Club membership issues with Club members and potential Club member
Tasks
-
Maintain a database of Club members in good standing. The database is held in an address book associated with the eMail address: 'membershipchair@mgclassics.org'. This is the vehicle used to launch shoutouts as defined in Item 2 below.
-
Launch shoutouts to remind members when their membership subscription comes due.
-
Update the membership database on a real time basis as existing members renew their annual subscription and as new members join the Club. Subscription renewals and new member's registrations are executed Online using a unique Form on the Club website. A copy of each registration is auto-forwarded to the eMail address 'membershipchair@mgclassics.org' so that the person taking the role as membership chair has a real time update of all registrations as they are generated.
-
Send 'Welcome' eMail to new members a few days after they joined. This is a 'boiler plate' eMail with the recipients eMail address and name only requiring to be edited to match the new member.
-
To advise the Club Website administrator the status of members in good standing on a regular basis so that the status of Club membership can be published on the Club website.
-
Respond to eMail queries about membership sent to 'membershipchair@mgclassics.org'
A Step by Step description of the steps required to conduct the tasks defined above is available as a training program. Technical support will be provided for Sixty days following the appointment of the new membership chair. It is expected that it will not take Sixty days for the new chair to be fully conversant with the role.
